B.F.A. ONLINE APPLICATION FORM 2023-24

Admission Notice (2023-24)

The Indian College of Arts and Draftsmanship invites online applications for admission to the B.F.A. program consisting of four (4) years (8 Semester) Under Graduate (B.F.A) Academic Progrmmes under National Credit Framework (NCrF) of NEP of 2020 (under Semester system) in the following subjects APPLIED ART (Graphic Design), PAINTING, PRINTMAKING, & SCULPTURE are available as specialized subjects in Day and Evening Section in the session 2023 – 2024. Candidates may also apply for a maximum of 2(two) specialized subjects in the same application form, including the Day & Evening sections. Print Making department is available only in Day Section.

 

  • Eligibility: Candidates having passed the H.S. Examination or its Equivalent with special aptitude in the concerned subject are eligible to apply.

 

  • Break of Studies: Two (2) years i.e. the candidates who have passed H.S. or its equivalent in 2023, 2022 & 2021 are only eligible to apply. Any candidate who has already completed the Graduation in any subject or appeared in the final examination of Graduation is not eligible for admission.

 

 

Application forms can be filled up Online on the college website: (www.indianartcollege.com) only from 01/07/2023 (02:00pm) to 12/07/2023 (upto 4: 00 pm). The last date of completion and submission of the online application form is 12/07/2023 (up to 04:00 pm).

 

At the undergraduate level of studies under the NEP 2020, students will have to take up 7 types of courses: Major, Minor, Multi-Disciplinary, Ability Enhancement Courses (AEC), Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC), Value-Added course (VAC) & Internship. The choice of the courses will be done after admission.

 

Candidates willing to apply for more than one subject will have to apply in the same application form. A candidate may apply for a maximum of 2 subjects in the same application form including the day and evening section.

 

Reservation of Seats:  

a) Reservation for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/ EWS and PWD. Reservation of seats for the reserved categories of ST/SC/OBC/EWS/PWD will be as per the West Bengal Higher Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Rules, 2023 and EWS reservation will be as per Notice No.339-Edn(CS)/OM-74L/2023 dated 26/05/2023. Reserved category candidates from a state other than West Bengal will be treated as an unreserved category.

 

 

 

Admission Procedure: Admission to the 4 years Under Graduate Programme (B.F.A. ) under the National Curriculum and Credit Framework (NCCF) in the Subjects of APPLIED ART (Graphic Design), PAINTING, PRINTMAKING, & SCULPTURE would be made through an admission test in offline mode. 

Admission Process:

Admission to the B.F.A. programmes in the Subjects of Applied Art (Graphic Design), Painting, Sculpture, and Graphics-Printmaking would be made through an admission test. The detailed Schedule will be notified in due course.

The admission Test would be taken in 2 (two) phases as noted below:

(a) 1st Phase 

Practical:

  1. Drawing for the Dept. of Painting, Applied Art (Graphic Design), Graphics-Printmaking and Sculpture.
  2. Written test (essay writing on a given topic)
  3. Departmental-related exam.

(b)  2nd Phase

Viva-voce:

Candidates must bring a minimum of 5(five) numbers of their original artworks at the time of viva-voce.

General Information:

 

  • Admission of a candidate will be canceled if any information given by him/her is found to be wrong or suppressed.

 

  • All downloaded online application forms must bear a unique Application Identification Number.

 

  • The Printout of the successfully submitted online application form bearing AIN is required at the time of Final Admission with photocopies of mark sheets & testimonials.

How to Apply

 

The applicants are advised to follow the instructions noted here while filling up the Application Forms Online:

 

  • In order to apply online, applicants have to register themselves first.

 

  • During registration, the applicant will be asked to provide an e-mail id and a mobile number, these must be valid ones because the initial login password will be sent to the provided e-mail id.

 

  • Applicants must provide a valid email id & mobile number. else the registration process will not be completed.

 

  • After registration, the user id & password will be sent to the registered e-mail id.

 

  • After successful login, the applicant can start filling out the online application form.

 

  • An applicant will be required to upload a scanned copy of his / her Photograph and Signature during filling up the admission form; therefore, he/she is advised to keep these ready before filling up the admission form.

 

  • At the time of the Final submission of the application for admission, candidates may apply for a maximum of 2 subjects in the same application form including the day and evening section. However if a candidate uses multiple email ids to access more than 2 subjects including the day and evening section, then later applied courses will be rejected.

 

  • If the applicant does not have all the required information at the time of filling out the form, he/she can save the incomplete application as a draft (by clicking on the ‘Next’ or ‘Previous’ button) and log out. Later, by login back into his/her account again he/she may complete the rest of the application form.

 

  •  After filling up all required information to submit the same, the applicant must agree with the given declaration, by clicking on the check box. It is important to note that, once it is submitted, the information already entered cannot be altered under any circumstances. Therefore, they are advised to be sure about the accuracy and relevance of the filled-up information before clicking the submit button.

 

  • After the Submission of the application, the applicant will be able to download or take the printout of the filled-up ‘Application Form’ bearing the AIN (Application Identification Number) and his / her other information.

 

  • The automatically generated AIN (Application Identification Number) number shall be treated as a unique identification number for an application during the admission process. Therefore, any Application Form erroneously downloaded and printed without an automatically generated AIN (Application Identification Number) will not be accepted under any circumstances.

 

 

General Instructions to the Applicants

 

  1. The duly filled-in downloaded application form should be signed by the candidate and his/her parent /guardian at the given spaces of the form.

 

  1. The duly filled-in application form along with self-attested copies of all mark sheets, certificates and other relevant documents has to be retained by the candidate. Applicants must preserve the acknowledgment receipt containing the Application Form ID No. etc. for future reference.

 

  1. The hard copy of the duly filled-in downloaded Application Form along with self-attested copies of all mark sheets, certificates and other relevant documents will be required to submit to the College Office at the time of admission confirmation.
  2.  

 

 

General Information:

1. No student will participate in, abet, or propagate ragging on the College campus as per the order of the Honorable Supreme Court.

2. Candidates admitted elsewhere in any degree course must submit a certificate or any other relevant document showing cancellation from the said degree course at the time of admission. Failing this, his/her candidature will be treated as canceled.

3. No candidate will be allowed for admission to two or more concurrent degree courses registered in the same University in the same calendar year.

4.  Candidates interested in admission will be required to collect all information regarding interview/test and admission dates in this regard from the College Website.

 5. Admission of a candidate will be canceled if any information given by him/her is found to be wrong or suppressed.

6. The list of the Candidates selected for interview/written test /admission will generally be treated as canceled as soon as the corresponding last date is over.

7.  In case of any disputes, the decision of the College authority will be final and binding to all concerned.
